July 2010 ODS Key Dates
Are you joining us for the AHS
Region 2 Summer Meeting in July? If you are attending, attached is the
registration form, the schedule, and the welcome letter. More information can
be found in the Region 2 Spring Newsletter or at our website at
www.ohiodaylilysociety.org .
We’ve been VERY busy getting
ready. Peg Barth and several ladies are hand sewing 250 welcome bags. Judy
Vorthman has been accepting registrations (over 30 have already come in).
Sophia Doyle is making bus gifts for the garden tours. Michelle Metz and
Katie Taillon are collecting items for the welcome bags. The Moores and the
Taillons are working on centerpieces for the dinners. Bob Thomas is
organizing the garden and exhibition judges clinics. Wendy and Molly Schwall
are working on signs and the youth clinic. Dave Winters is finalizing the bus
routes. Doug Cellar is contracting the buses, working with our guest speaker
(Dan Bachman), and coordinating the Saturday box lunch. Kathy Proper and
Amber Strope are lining up vendors and coordinating the plant sale for the
boutique. Sally Marcum and Karen Brenner are keeping our website up to date.
Also, many of us are growing daylilies to sell or give as gifts, and many
others are busily getting their gardens ready for display as an open or tour
garden.
There is still lots to do!!
